Production Overview

How Our Coconut Ingredients Are Produced

From the fresh white meat to the sweet blossom sap, we process every part of the coconut under strict food safety standards to deliver pure, unadulterated ingredients.

Coconut Ingredients Production Flowchart

Desiccated Coconut & Milk

Fresh, mature coconuts are husked, pared (to remove the brown skin), and finely grated. For Desiccated Coconut, the white meat is carefully sterilized and dried to preserve its natural fat and crisp texture.

For Coconut Milk and Cream, the fresh grated meat is pressed to extract the rich, creamy liquid, which is then pasteurized or UHT treated for shelf stability.

Coconut Water & Sugar

Our clear Coconut Water is extracted from young to mature coconuts, filtered, and sterilized to maintain its natural electrolytes and refreshing taste.

Our Coconut Sugar is not made from the fruit, but from the flower blossom. The sweet sap is hand-tapped by farmers and slowly boiled over a controlled fire until it crystallizes into rich, low-glycemic caramel granules.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between High Fat and Low Fat Desiccated Coconut?

High Fat Desiccated Coconut retains its natural oil content (typically around 65%), giving it a rich flavor and aroma ideal for premium baking. Low Fat Desiccated Coconut has had most of its oil pressed out (leaving about 45-50% fat) and is often used as a bulk filler or in lighter recipes.

What are the available cuts/grades for Desiccated Coconut?

We supply both Fine (Macaroon) grade and Medium grade. Fine grade is milled smaller and is excellent for mixing into doughs and batters, while Medium grade provides more texture for toppings and coatings.

What is Coconut Sugar made of?

Unlike what many believe, coconut sugar is not made from the coconut fruit. It is made from the sweet sap of the coconut blossom (flower). The sap is collected, boiled to evaporate the water, and granulated, resulting in a natural sweetener with a caramel-like flavor.

How is your Coconut Water and Milk packaged for export?

For industrial and commercial buyers, our coconut water and milk/cream are typically sterilized and packed in large 20kg or 200kg Aseptic Bags inside carton boxes or steel drums to ensure a long shelf life without refrigeration before opening.

Are your products organic certified?

Our coconut sugar and specific lines of desiccated coconut can be supplied with Organic certifications (such as USDA/EU Organic) depending on availability and buyer requirements. Please mention this in your inquiry.

What is the shelf life of your ingredients?

When stored properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, Desiccated Coconut and Coconut Sugar typically have a shelf life of 12 to 18 months from the date of production.

What packaging options do you provide for Desiccated Coconut and Sugar?

The standard export packaging is 25 kg multi-ply Kraft paper bags with an inner PE (polyethylene) liner to protect against moisture.

What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

Our standard MOQ is one 20ft container (approx. 12-13 metric tons for Desiccated Coconut). Mixed containers or smaller trial volumes can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
